This semester?

This semester I believe my favorite project was the Narrative. My narrative was about me dealing with my 5 year old niece and it was fun to talk about. On the other hand I did not like the analysis project as much. Only because it was so much writing even though we had a decent amount of time to finish it. Out of the 3 papers, I did not do as good on the song analysis so that is why i am revising it on our last assigmment of the semester (revision & reflection project). I have learned a lot on our third project with citation and being able to find appropriate sources. Over the whole course what I found most valuable was revising your own paper before turning it in because you can catch a lot of errors that you didnt know was there.

Mothers Day

So Sunday was Mothers day. My two sisters came up here for the weekend from Georgia and we threw my mom a party/dinner to celebrate. Even though it was rainy, we all enjoyed ourselves especially my mom. She got lots of gifts and flowers. I think her favorite gift was the Marc Jacobs perfume set. We had barbeque and boy was it delicious. One of my sisters from Georgia got my mom a card with a baby sock in it to tell her she had another grandchild on the way. Im so excited for her! Now ill have about 15 nieces and nephews. Oh boy.

Last day.

Well, Today is the last day of English 151 with Professor Moses. I can honestly say that this semester went by quick for me. This whole year flew right by but I enjoyed meeting all the new classmates. For all of the people that are moving on because it was their last year, I wish you the best. I plan on moving onto the next section of English next fall. I have heard it is a lot harder than English 151, and I guess I will just have to see for myself. I love English class though, and I know if I work hard enough I will make it.

Finally Done

Can I say "Hurray!" to the end of the spring semester? I am so glad that this is the last week of school. Summer break is here so that means no more assignments for me to do. I do not plan on taking any summer classes so I better enjoy my break while I have one. I am proud to say that I have finished my first year in college, and it was way easier than I thought it would be. Hopefully the future goes as planned and I will have just one more year to go. Then I will be done with KCC, and off to my next journey.

Yay to May!

So next week is our last week, thank goodness. I am so tired of doing work, and ready for the summer to begin. I am also glad that this weekend is the start of May. I love May. It is my favorite month of the year, not only because it is my birth month but because the weather is always great this month. I am a spring type of person because I do not like being too cold or too hot. A few more great things is my boyfriend and I get our apartment soon, and we have only 5-7 weeks until our bundle of joy arrives. I am so happy.

National/International Tragedy

I remember when I first started Elementary school, at the age of 5. I was in kindergarten. Coming home and hearing my parents talk about something serious that happened in America. On the news were two towers that supposedly have come tumbling down. I was too young to understand, and did not know much about terrorist attacks but I knew a plane crashed into the buildings. It did not really affect me much because I was so young, but after years went by I got a better understanding of it.

Rainy day

Well, it was very beautiful out on Friday and Saturday. So warm and sunny, I wish their could have been pools open. Now today I woke up to it being ugly out. It makes me want to sleep all day. It is very chilly also, which I do not like. Do not get me wrong, I love the rain. It is just that I have been waiting so long for the sunny beautiful weather to come. The meteorologist on Channel 3 News said it is supposed to be like this all week and that sucks. 70 degree weather is my type of weather because its not too cold or hot; Just Perfect.

A few more weeks.

Well, spring break is over but it was fun while it lasted. I went on a picnic yesterday to end my break off right, and it was pretty cool. I plan on going on another one this weekend but to spice it up, there is going to be some fishing involved. No, I am not eating the fish. It's just going to be for fun, and I am going to toss them right back in.. well, my boyfriend will. I refuse to hold a fish and take a hook out of its mouth. I hope the rest of the semester goes smooth because there is only a few weeks left. I am excited.

Spring Break?

Like I have said before, I am probably not going to do anything big for spring break. I wanted to go somewhere fun but most likely I will be relaxing. Me and my boyfriend might go to Detroit either Easter weekend or the weekend after that. I just want to get away from Battle Creek for a little bit at least because there is never anything to do here. Plus we both have family that live there so we can visit them as well. A nice long car ride will do me some good and I am pretty sure it will do him good as well.

Monday Again?

At least spring break starts this Friday! It seems like my weeks go by so slow, but the days go by quick. I have a lot of work to do over spring break but I am still going to enjoy myself. I am probably not going anywhere and doing anything big but at least I get to relax. I want to work out a little more to over break. Get that summer body ready(I wish). Haha, but I hope everyone else enjoys there break and does something fun. Mine will consist of working out, shopping, sleeping, and eating!

An Offensive Word?

Many people say things that are supposedly "okay" now but at one point of time it was not. I will take a blast back to the past since things do not really offend me much. Me and my brother were arguing about who knows what, but I know it was something stupid. He is a few years older than me, but we still fought all the time. I was in my last years of elementary, when I still had a bit of baby fat. Well guess what he called me? Fat! I was so upset but I pretended like I did not care. I was a chubby kid, I can admit. Words can hurt a lot though, and that is why I do my best now to say nice things to others.

Eh..

I've had so much work over the past 2 weeks, and I am exhausted. I am glad to say spring break is next week(I believe). Well, right now I am just catching up on a little work and eating some great chicken of course. I really think I should work out more because I eat so much. Haha, well hopefully this week flies by because I need a break. Maybe I will go get a pedicure and take my boyfriend with me. By the way, we got our new car. Yay!

March 9th

Over the weekend, I went to the movies to see Chappie. I thought it was a pretty good movie for anyone out their that has not seen it. Anyways, it is Monday again. Seems like the only days I get a break is Fridays and Sundays..really just Sundays because Fridays I am still busy doing all sorts of crap as well, its just not school related. Oh I forgot, yesterday I went to the Y to swim and it is now a Sunday morning routine for me and my boyfriend from now on so actually I am always busy. Story of my life. At least I am not a couch potato.

Guilty Pleasure

If I had to choose what I believe my guilty pleasure to be, I would say chocolate. I absolutely love to devour chocolate. Yep, call me the chocolate monster. By the way if caramel comes with it, that is a bonus because those two together is heaven. Brownies, candy, cake you name it! I specifically salute the Hershey's company for their delicious products. Their milk chocolate candy bar, and cookies & cream bar are my favorite.

Battle Creek more like Boring Creek

This has got to be the most boring town ever. Sorry, but the only thing you can do here is go out to eat or to the movies really. I cannot wait until I move in the future. In life I have always wanted to live somewhere where its not too cold or too hot, as well as somewhere where you can have fun. Rather it being California, Florida or somewhere around those two places. My oldest sister lives in Georgia and I love to visit when I can. Its amazing though some days can be hotter than the sun!

Exhausted

It is only the beginning of the week and I am already wishing it would be Friday..or Thursday at least. Spring break needs to hurry up and get here because I definitely need a break! As much as I hate to complain, yes I am going to anyways. On a good note though, it is the last week of February. Woo hoo! March is finally here. I am hoping to get my own apartment before the year is over, but I am not quite sure. I guess I will have to go with the flow and pray that things go as panned. (anxious face)

Friday 2/19

This weather is ridiculous! I hate how cold it is. It being in the negatives kills my vibe. I just want summer to be here already, because im tired of being in the house all day. I want to go swimming, take walks outside, go to the beach, carnival and all the other fun stuff you do in summer. I honestly want to go to an amusement park as well but I am not quite sure if that will happen this summer because I already have a lot of things planned. Hopefully I can squeeze it in somewhere but boy am I hoping mother nature makes my wish come true.

Start of a new week!

Monday already? Good thing my first class does not start until 11:30 otherwise that would be a problem. Last semester my first class on Mondays started at 8 and it was the struggle waking up. Though I actually have my sleep schedule back on track now which is a good thing. I haven't been sleeping in much lately, actually I've been getting up pretty early than usual. I shall now be considered a morning person..totally just kidding..

Fridays Blog 2/12

English class was always one of my favorite classes, because I love to write. The bad part about the class, was having to read the old boring novels from the old ages My 12th grade year of course, we got the chance to watch The Great Gatsby and I loved it. The teacher I had for the class was fun as well. Leonardo DiCaprio is one of my favorite actors also, and speaking of him, we read a lot of Shakespeare in school so Romeo & Juliet was the best to me. One of my least favorites had to be Hamlet..boooo

This Weekend

As we all know, Valentines Day is this Saturday. Exciting right? Or not, to the lonely people out there..sorry. Though, I wonder what all the fine couples are going to do that day. Go out on a romantic dinner date, maybe to see a movie? Speaking of movies, Fifty Shades of Grey comes out that exact day. What a coincidence, right? Other than his basketball game, I'm not exactly sure what my boyfriend has planned for us, but I hope everyone else has fun, and enjoy themselves but also stays safe as well.

Narrative?

The point of having a narrative is to complete your story. Without event(s) for a story is like a story without its main topic, therefore it will be dull. You need to have people, places, and even a conflict will spice it up even more. With these aspects, they basically complete a story, along with dialogue, you want your readers to visualize. Not only say that a person is pretty, explain how she is pretty. Do not say that a person is obnoxious and loud, what makes them obnoxious and loud.

Monday's Blog

This snow is crazy! I cannot wait until spring comes, that is my favorite season of the year. Most of all because my birthday is in the spring. If you want to know when my birthday is, it is in May, also the best month. I love snow, and think it is beautiful, but I am just tired of this cold weather. You cannot do much when their is so much, but build a snowman, make snow angels, and have snowball fights. What about swimming, taking long walks in the beautiful sun, or family gatherings outside? I miss it all!

What is a story?

A story is something that can be told in many ways, and can be realistic, made up from your imagination or even both. The key to a good story is presenting it in a way to keep your reader(s), or whomever you may be telling it to interested. By drawing their attention, most of the time you have to have elements in the story so that the reader(s) can visualize it, and see what you are telling them. You do not want your story to be dull, or boring so voice is an important thing to a story as well.

Chicken Nuggets

So, Burger king has their ten piece nuggets back for only 1.49. I do not prefer Burger Kings food but I made an exception for these nuggets.That is such a good deal, right? They are not the best nuggets in the world but for that price, you just cannot pass them up. I know I sound so out of shape for this blog but it is okay. So for any of you out there needing a nice little meal for a good price, I surely recommend that you try them. Hope whomever may be reading this right now has a wonderful day :)

Intro

This is my first blog. I have not adapted to it just yet but I am getting better. I have only one social network other than this one and that is Instagram. Instagram is where you post pictures rather than words though. If Snapchat counts then hey, I have that one too! At one point of time I had a Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and Tumblr, not all at once but throughout my life. Hopefully I can remember to post things at least twice a week, but I do not believe it will be a problem with me.
